FIRST ANNUAL DOG DAY HALLOWEEN
will be a Halloween costume contest for dogs and their owners, at Maxey Community Center at 2 p.m. Judges will be on hand to pick out the best-dressed dogs, and youth will compete in their own special category. Prizes for the best-dressed dogs
include gift certificates to 50th Street Caboose, Lite Bite Mediterranean Cafe, and dinner for two at Skyviews of Texas Tech. This event is free to dog owners and the public, and it is sponsored by the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department. The event will take place in Maxey Park on the volleyball court behind the Maxey Community Center at 30th Street and Oxford Avenue. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and have current vaccinations.
