Lubbock Fun Club is recognized by Chamber of Commerce
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Technology Awards Luncheon, sponsored by AT&T, was held on Tuesday, April 25. After a keynote presentation, Annual Technology Awards were given in two categories: 1.) CyberPresence (Web site) and 2.) Innovation in Technology. The CyberPresence award was a tie -- won by PCCA (Plains Cotton Cooperative Association) and the Lubbock Fun Club who was happy to accept the recognition on behalf of the 11,000 members who validate their mission each week by reading their weekly Postcard. Congratulations to all of us! We have a good thing going and it's nice to be recognized!!! Thanks, Chamber!

BLUE RIBBON RALLY in the Depot District this Saturday, April 29! Someone will win a 2006 Harley Davidson Fat Boy!
The 8th Annual Blue Ribbon Rally will be held April 29, 2006 in the Depot Entertainment District. It is an all day event starting at 10:00 a.m. with the Classic Car Clubs of Lubbock showing their cars and the Question & Answer Run starting at 9 a.m at Wild West Harley-Davidson and ending in the Depot District. There will be vendors and entertainment during the day. The Harley Party which includes fajitas, a silent auction and MASTERPEACE band will be held at Bleacher's Sports Cafe from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. This year's first place door prize will be a 2006 Harley Davidson Fatboy! Mommy & Me Tea Party is May 6
(the Saturday before Mother's Day) at The Clawson House. There will be two seatings: 9:00 and 11:00. Moms, come with your precious child, have a moment together, sip tea, eat a scone and then have a portrait together. This is our 4th year and it’s a sweet, time every year and a family tradition. Finders, Keepers ... No Weepers!
There are few things more stressful for pet owners than having a pet run away. Now Lubbock Animal Services is offering pet owners in Lubbock some peace of mind. Every first and third Wednesday of each month, from 9
a.m. - noon, Animal Services is offering free micro-chipping for dogs and cats (owners must purchase a city registration tag for $5.00). This free microchipping is limited to the first 50 animals each event day. Call
