April 14 & 15 - The Music Of Billy Joel at the Cactus
April 21 - Terry Allen Concert with Lloyd Maines and Terri Hendrix. The best of Texas music right here in our own Civic Center Theater.
April 22 - Lubbock's Idol will be discovered at the Arts Festival on Saturday.
April 27 - Canadian Brass has traveled the WORLD and our Symphony Spring Pops brings them to Lubbock. Get your tickets now. Bring friends who like music.
May 20 & 27 - Nunsense at the new arts theater will be a laughing experience you remember! Plus the Fun Club will be there with "shinannigans" and fun. (watch for more in upcoming issues.)

3.) We have a Nice Water Park!
Clean, cool, water and new changes make Texas Water Rampage better for everyone this year! Season Pass sales start now ... and there's a special offer for Fun Club members. (See ad to the right.) Kids love the water and space to "let their hair down" and enjoy! Good family time too.

Put May 11 on your calendar because the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo offers an unusual change to learn, see, talk with, experience, know more about Lubbock businesses. more>

5.) Yummy places to eat!
Tell your Sunday School class this Sunday to make plans for lunch next Sunday! Lubbock's best restaurants will serve their entrees in one place! Sample what ever you want, judge, and it's only $8 bucks for lunch! The Golden Fork Culinary Competition is next Sunday at the Civic Center. Do come!

April 14, 15 - The Music of Billy Joel at The Cactus Theater Come see David, accompanied by the Lubbock Texas Rhythm Machine, in a wonderful tribute to the life and works of Billy Joel. This is a once-in-a-life time performance that will be so good you will forget you aren’t listening to the real Billy Joel. 1812 Buddy Holly Ave, 762-3233 Time: 8:00 PM Cost: $25

April 15 - Karyshma in Concert at 7:30 pm at the Lubbock Civic Center Auditorium. This is a very young energetic band that is known for their intensity of rock, their improvisation of jazz and the intricacies of India’s musical traditions. 766-7610.

April 15 – Bobby Wynne and the Kings of Western Swing at the Fair Theater in Plainview. Back by popular demand, Bobby Wynne returns to the Fair. The professional touring company specializes in jazz, swing, big band, and good ol’ country music. Each member of the ensemble is a long-time honoree of the Western Swing Hall of Fame. 7:30pm -- $15

April 18 - The South Plains College Touring Ensemble will appear on the Cactus Theater stage Tuesday, April 18th. Admission is free to the public. Show starts at 7:30pm.
