CURB APPEAL's Bill Dugan Saturday at the Home & Garden show! Come see us and meet our new friend DOT ... surprise!
Every year the Home & Garden show is a "must see". Not only for the hot tubs and patios but maintenance free yards and building products and services and home and gardening tips that make it entertaining and educational. The Master Gardeners are three too with information on good plants and this year's seminars tap into the subject of water. Click here for seminar schedule. Click on ad (right) for more too.>>

HAPPY SPRING BREAK ... everyone!
Spring Break is this coming week and since many of us will be a bit out of our schedule, I've put a little more in this Postcard's "A Look Ahead" column than normal. Don't worry ... it's all good stuff! Wow ... who would ever imagine so much is going on in Lubbock?! We are so blessed to have so many entertainment and education options. Let's enjoy the time with our kids, our families, our friends, and "kick up a little dust"!

If you’ve attended or worked at Texas Tech University, TTU Health Sciences Center or the TTU System, then you are eligible to enter the "From Here, It's Possible" campaign whose purpose is to collect stories about the successes and accomplishments of Texas Tech's alumni, faculty, students and staff. These stories will be used to let people in distant parts of Texas and beyond know what is so special about Texas Tech University and TTU Health Sciences Center. Contest winners will receive box seat tickets to football and basketball games, Texas Tech University Press books, student scholarships and will be feted at a "From here, it's possible" party in April. Enter your story for a chance to win recognition and great prizes and pass it along to your Texas Tech friends and colleagues. Deadline is March 27. Click on BIG SKY image below for more details.

Noteworthy Parties is a series of fundraising events by the Symphony Guild between now and June. Space is limited. Make reservations soon. Click here to see complete list.

This weekend and next ... HUGE Garage Sale
This garage sale benefits My Father's House that helps women and children in our community. They are taking donations of items Mon-Fri between 9:30-Noon at 4835 50th (next to The Picket Fence) or call 799-0990 for other arrangements. Then ... the SALE BEGINS this weekend March 10 and continues on to next weekend through March 18. Call with any questions.

Would you like to volunteer ... but need childcare?
Have we got a deal for you!
The Lubbock Fun Club is looking for a few happy Moms who would enjoy volunteering on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 ... and guess what? We're providing the child care just a few rooms over in the same building at Lakeridge Baptist Church's wonderful First Steps program. Beginning March 21 ... for 6 weeks ... we're going to try it. Volunteer tasks would be anything from thinking and brainstorming, to typing, to folding, to phone calling, to who knows what. But Moms can be close to their children ... and also enjoy some "adult interaction" while they volunteer to help the Fun Club! If you're interested, click here to send us an email. We'll get back with you on how to confirm your spot!

Single Friends ...
After a short "lag" after the Holidays ... the SOS group is planning more fun! Click here to see what's planned in the next few weeks and check that page often. (Note: now the LINK to the SOS events page is right on every page in the blue navigation bar on the left ... making it easier to find.)

How do you like our new "look"? (see above)
The Dot Com Directory will now be the MIDDLE TAB on the top of every page of our Lubbock Fun Club web site. This will allow sponsors to promote their products and services to you as well as help us make some money to continue to provide our neat services. To incorporate that new logo while also streamlining our appearance, we needed a new design for our LOOK and Matt at Melogo came through for us. I hope you like it. And if you ever need graphics for a logo, brochure or any printed materials, let us know. We would be HAPPY to refer you to him! He's a true-blue, service oriented and talented man! We have grown to depend on his consistent and top notch work.

Click here for more information about being in the Dot Com Directory.

Come on, Lubbock ... let's live it up in 2006!
