Many entries, including Marching Bands, Santa, Children’s Characters, a 34 ft Christmas Tree, Lighted Floats, Miss America, Texas Tech Lady Raiders, U.S. Military Units, Musical Groups, Dance Teams, and more! Parade begins at Toledo and 34th and continues on for miles down 34th Street. more>

HOLIDAY EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Looking for something a little different? Check out these highlights ... but this is just a sampling of the many you will find as you visit the calendar for more details on these and others!
* December 10 - Greek Pastry Bake Sale on Saturday, from 9:00am until 3:00p.m. at 82nd St. & Homestead Ave.Come early. Last year, they sold out at Noon.
* December 10 - Miracles on 34th Street Parade. Parade will start between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. Where's a good place to sit? Well, the parade starts from from Toledo, all the way down 34th Street to Q. Broadcast Square is located at 34th & Louisville and you can sit in the grandstands for a ticket ($15.00 Adult, $13.00 Children, Kids under 2 Free if not taking up a seat) ... or you can bring a chair and join the fun club gang in the parking lot at As Time Goes By. We'll gather there to watch the parade in its earlier segment. more>
* December 10 through 20th - Miracles & Lights 34th Street Merchants have organized themselves into a decorating contest. Help select the winner after a holiday drive down 34th street. more>

December 16, 17 - Live Nativity Scene. The story of Christmas is re-enacted at this free production that children and adults alike will enjoy with live animals, complete with camels, sheep, and cows. Live nativity scene shows from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and scenes happen every few minutes so viewers can arrive any time for the full presentation. Indiana Avenue Baptist Church is located at 411 N. University (Dartmouth Ave and N. University).
* December 21 – Celtic Winter Solstice Celebration at the historic Baker Building, 1211 13th Street. An intimate evening featuring High Plains Irish Dancers and 6 West Texas Celtic Ensembles: County Hockey Ceili, Jupiter 16, Perrin-Cooper, Mike Proper School of Highland Piping, Roan Inish and Tripping Up the Stairs. There will also be traditional refreshments and a raffle. Advance admission is $5. Tickets at the door are $9. 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
