A Children's Fair - This Weekend!
Generation 2000 is a two-day event May 14 & 15 that will consist of over 60 specialty events, booths, games and interactive displays that are aimed at entertaining and educating children of all ages.

The fun will feature such events as the Price’s Family Fun Adventure Prize Walk where kids will have an opportunity to dance and participate in the walk to win prizes. Other entertainment will include Brickfest Building Blocks, Career Center, Roller Racers, Sand Tables, Fun Park and many other activities for fun and a learning experience. There will also be mini golf, arts and crafts, face painting, live entertainment, Giant Bubbles, Science Area, clowns, finger painting and tons of fun stuff. The event is at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center and admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Go have some fun with your kids!

A "HIP" ART SHOW SATURDAY ...
ULTERIOR MOTIFS NO. 9
If you went last year, you know this is where you'll see Lubbock's "hip" art crowd. We are especially "close" to the event because Jeff Wheeler is the artist who painted our Lubbock Fun Club picture. The Wheeler Bro's Studio invite the community to experience this celebratory art extravaganza on May 14, 2005. Jeff's work will be on display as we as other up and coming artists. The reception will start at the Buddy Holly Center from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and then proceed to the Wheeler Bro's Studio for the remainder of the evening that has a nice downtown urban appeal. A portion of the art exhibition will be in the Buddy Holly Center's Fine Arts Gallery from May 14 to June 18, 2005.
