May 26, 27, 28…."The Merry Wives of Windsor" - Bring a lawn chair or blanket for this year's annual Shakespeare in the Park production written by William Shakespeare, directed by Chris Davis and Kim Klafka and produced by CATS Playhouse. In this comedy, Sir John Falstaff, a knight down on both luck and cash, hatches a scheme to raise funds. He will seduce Mistress Ford and Mistress Page in an attempt to get at their husbands' money. Falstaff, however, has overestimated his ingenuity; the two women compare their letters, and—finding them identical—hatch a plan of their own to turn the tables on the knight. Admission is free. Wagner Park, 28th and Flint; 7:30 p.m.

May 27….The Magic Moments of the '50s – Come to the Cactus for a trip down memory lane....where a collection of early '50s classics meet the birth of rock 'n' roll. You'll delight in every tune and marvel as the amazing band captures the very essence of this magical time. Tickets are $25 and available by calling (806) 762-3233. Cactus Theater, 1812 Buddy Holly Ave; 7:30 p.m.

SATURDAY

May 28….Mud in the Hub – Join the West Texas Outlaws Off-Road Club for some exciting fun in the mud. Entry fee for adults is $10 and kids 11 and under are free. 5 miles east of Lubbock at Buffalo Springs Lake. Races start at 11 a.m.

May 28….The '60s’ and '70s: A Musical Journey – Come and experience a uniquely American journey from the beginnings of early rock 'n' roll all the way up to the mid-60s' arrival of the "British Invasion." Then continue the journey from an explosion of LOVE from Woodstock era up to the funky beats of disco. Tickets are $25 and available by calling (806) 762-3233.
