November 25 - 27….Final Days at the Maze -
Looking for something fun to do with your family? - Come test your skills in the 12-acre cornfield full of twists and turns. This year’s design is a tribute to their 10 year anniversary. The Maize will give visitors the chance to see this startling creation. So come be a part of Lubbock’s very own cornfield maize. In addition to the maize, you will find roasted corn, BBQ, rock wall, pumpkin patches, corn cannon, hay bale mazes, barnyard, concession and tent area. Come enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider, campfires and smores. Special! Free tickets for the hayride to Pumpkin Hollow will be given with paid maze admission Thurs Fri and Sat night starting at 6 pm. Maize admission -$7 , non-maize admission - $4, (3 and under are free). November 26….The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show - It's like two shows in one as the Oak Ridge Boys kick off this big show with their world famous four-part harmonies and string of hits that spans 3 decades. Toes will be a tappin' to smash hits "Elvira" and "Bobbie Sue" plus many more award winning songs. Then, after a short intermission, the stage is transformed and it's Christmas! The trees are decorated, the snow is falling and the Oak Ridge Boys treat you to Christmas favorites as only they can. From rollicking Santa songs to heartfelt standards, this show is a family favorite for kicking off the holiday season and it finally comes to Lubbock! For tickets call Select-A-Seat at 770-2000. November 26 - 27......“Minnie’s Pearls” - Who could have ever dreamed that a country gal with a $1.98 price tag hanging from her straw hat would become the queen of country comedy? For 50 years, the character Sarah Cannon created in "Minnie Pearl" held her position on the Grand Ole Opry with her countrified comedy routines. In her decades of appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, Minnie crossed paths, befriended and inspired many, many female country artists. The Cactus Theater proudly presents Jane Prince Jones as Minnie Pearl and Terri Caldwell singing the hit songs of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Reba McEntire, in their second production endeavor. Continuing in the tradition of "Always, Patsy Cline" come see this wonderful duo make their magic on stage once more in "Minnie's Pearls." Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at 762.3233. November 26 - 28; (repeats Nov. 30; December 1-5, 7-12, 14-19, and 21-23) Polar Express Train Ride – Inspired by the award winning book by Chris Van Allsburg, the Polar Express will come to life as the train returns to West Texas this holiday season. Guests will be transported to the “North Pole” and will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while reading or listening to this classic tale. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas. When the train reaches its destination Santa and the elves will be there to greet each child and give them their own sleigh bell. This year will feature a new route and 2 cars with an upper and lower dome.
