THURSDAY through SUNDAY

September 17….“Over Cocktails” - A one-woman show, written by Carla Thompson, tells the story of Claire who is dissatisfied with her life, thinking it a worthless existence. The audience is challenged to be judge and jury on her outcome. This is a debut stage play for the novelist Thompson who surprises us with a twist as Claire ultimately decides her own fate. Veteran actress Jane Prince-Jones tackles the role with the honesty that she brought to Katharine Hepburn in “Tea at Five”. In “Over Cocktails”, a woman’s world is now an “empty nest” which is part of life’s seriousness. And as the actress portraying that woman, Jane gives you the part of life she does best for Cactus audiences, the fun part of it....the comedy...making for a most entertaining evening. This is a two-act comedy/drama with no profanity. Tickets: $25. Cactus Theater,1812 Buddy Holly Ave.; 7:30 p.m.
