June 12....Children's Concert - Children’s singer Andy Mason will be performing at the Lubbock Public Libraries on June 11 and 12. Andy is a guitarist/singer/songwriter from Clovis, New Mexico. His repertoire includes cover versions and original songs like “Everybody Likes Pizza.”

June 12.... Summer Showcase Concert Series -
Kyle Park will be performing this week. Admission to this popular weekly music series is free. Buddy Holly Center Courtyard, 1801 Crickets Avenue. 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

June 13....Parent’s Night - Parents, here's a rare chance to "take the night off!" Kids ages 6-12 will participate in games, crafts and so much more for just $10/child! Dinner is included! Take the night off, you deserve it. June 13....Centennial Cotton Ball - Country swing band Asleep at the Wheel, led by Ray Benson, will headline the concert portion of this event. Full event includes a dinner catered by Cagle Steaks in the Civic Center Banquet Hall. $1,020.00 (Table Of 8), $157.50 single ticket. Call 749-2009 for details; concert takes place in the Exhibit Hall at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane. Dinner portion of the event at 6:15 p.m.; concert 8:00 p.m.

June 13-14.... Lubbock Moonlight Musicals Presents, "Singin’ in the Rain" (Opening weekend) - Based on the 1952 MGM film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor & Debbie Reynolds. The show includes show-stopping dances Singin’ in the Rain and Make ‘em Laugh. Tickets available at the gate and all Select-a-Seat outlets, toll free by phone at 800-735-
1288; locally at (806) 770-2000; or online at www.selectaseatlubbock.com. The amphitheatre is an outdoor venue with paved paths, night-time lighting and grassy terraces. Ticketholders are welcome to bring a picnic dinner and lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. A wheelchair ramp, concessions and restrooms are available on-site. June 13-15...."A Year With Frog and Toad" - This musical for the whole family is set in the world of Frog and Toad and is a beautiful tale that shows friendship and the love of the world through song and story with music by Robert Reale, lyrics by Willie Reale. Based on the “Frog and Toad” books by Arnold Lobel and directed by Joshua Aguirre. Tickets: Adults $15 and Seniors/Students $10. Group and family rates available. June 14....Healthy Lubbock Day - The Garrison Institute on Aging Healthy Lubbock Initiative invites you to participate in a day of fun events such as paddle boats, a climbing wall, bike rodeo and bike safety (be sure to bring your own bike), sports bouncer, spinning bikes, exercise demos and prizes, helicopter. June 14....Daddy & Daughter Tea Party
- Come and enjoy a special morning with your little girl. Daddies and little girls will participate in pictures, activities and giggles for just $10/couple. Delicate sugar cookies and cake for two will accompany two types of tea for tasting. This will truly be full of memories to cherish for years to come. Hodges Community Center is now accepting reservations for the Daddy & Daughter Tea Party. June 15....Westwinds Brass Band Concert - Old-fashioned concert in the park, with players ranging in age from late teens to early '90s. Performed are a wide variety of songs including patriotic and varied musical selections. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the performance in the summer evening with your friends. Kids march included. Admission free. Wagner Park, 26th and Flint. Starts promptly at 8 p.m.

Ticket Drawing for Tomorrow Night!

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors 65+, children under 12 are free. June 27-29....CritterFest '08 - Lubbock’s most popular annual animal event is back again. Awesome and amazing animal acts, as well as the extremely popular petting zoo, pony rides, and cow milking demonstrations, along with hundreds of other animals on display continue to make this event a hit for the whole family!
