June 5....LFC Singles Dinner - The Lubbock Fun Club Singles ( SOS) will meet at Texas Creek Grill for a meal, fun and fellowship. No reservations necessary and everyone pays their own tab...so come one, come all. Meet and eat at the restaurant at 6012-82nd; 7 p.m.

June 6....Omnimax Movie Premeire: "Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk" - Hold on to your seat as you go for the “ride-of-your-life” down white-water rapids and over treacherous falls on the giant Omni Theater screen! This new film combines exhilarating river-rafting action on one of America’s most iconic rivers, family fun and the grandeur of one of our nation’s most pristine and amazing natural wonders. Follow film makers, rafting experts, park rangers, and conservationists for the “trip-of-a-lifetime” to one of the most amazing places on Earth. June 6....Engelo Charles’ Tribute to James Brown and Wilson Pickett - Engelo Charles, the newest addition to the Cactus Theater cast of entertainers, is being presented in his first tribute show. These two legends had smash hits with “I Feel Good”, “Papa's Got a Brand New Bag”, “Midnight Hour”, “Mustang Sally” and a host of other songs. Special guests include Sheena Fadeyi and Billy McClaran. Don't miss this exciting, high energy, fun concert backed by the fantastic Lubbock Texas Rhythm Machine. June 6....Friday Night Art Trail - The galleries, studios, businesses and restaurants of downtown Lubbock and beyond will join together and open their doors for Lubbock’s monthly evening of art, music and food. First Friday Art Trail showcases fabulous works of art, much of which is created locally in the unique and inspiring galleries, studios, businesses and restaurants of downtown Lubbock and throughout our city. June 6-7....Willy Wonka Jr. - This fun musical, presented by Hub Performing Arts School and Hub Theatre Group, will remind you of both of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movies. You'll hear your favorite songs and some new ones. Forty-five kids make up this talented cast from 5 years old to 17. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids (2-18). June 7....2nd Annual Vintage Township Posh Pooch Pageant - A free event to celebrate our four-legged friends and enjoy an amazing day of fun with your dog. A number of local companies will be out to pamper pets with a pet-i-cure palace, gourmet treats, dog fashions and even an ask-the-veterinarian booth. Lubbock Humane Society, the Heart of the Plains Kennel Club and the Lubbock Police K-9 unit are lined up for agility and police demonstrations, as well as a showcase of dogs available for adoption. June 7-8....11th Annual Llano Wine and Clay Festival - Hosted by Llano Estacado Winery and the Llano Estacado Clay Guild, this event celebrates two fine arts of the earth, winemaking and ceramics. Clay Guild artists will be featured in the gallery. Art booths will showcase ceramics, paintings and jewelry; demonstrations will run throughout the day. Wine by the glass and specialty gourmet foods will be available for purchase at the festival. Come by and say "Hi" at the Lubbock Fun Club table on Saturday at noon! Admission is free. June 8....Westwinds Brass Band Concert - Beginning the 47th season of Concerts in the Park, the Westwinds Brass Band, conducted by Phil Anthony, ranges in age from late teens to early '90s. Performed are a wide variety of songs including patriotic, and musical selections. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the performance in the summer evening with your friends. Kids march included. Admission is free. Wagner Park, 26th and Flint, 8 p.m.
