Celebrating Margaret's: The Art of Fashion. Greet Margaret Talkington and enjoy the exhibit of Margaret's Fashions and Memorabilia during this special event benefitting the Louise Hopkins Center for the Arts.. Doubt - This Pulitzer Prize winning play by John Patrick Shanley set in a Catholic school in the early 60s shows the battle between a strong-willed nun and a charismatic priest. The play raises issues about truth and how we arrive at the truth. This play will star Texas Tech's own Dr. Laurin Mann and will be directed by Bob Chanda.

FRIDAY through SUNDAY
Laughter on the 23rd Floor - Lubbock Community Theatre production of the Neil Simon comedy. Set in 1953, this semi-autobiographical play by Simon propels us back to an America when television was in its infancy, as the author recreates the mayhem among a bunch of brilliant and wacky comedy writers struggling to concoct routines for the reigning king of funny men, Max Prince.

SATURDAY
Talk of the Town Open House - Lubbock's most talked about homebuilder is offering you a chance to win the world's most talked about cell phone this weekend! 12th Annual Grape Day - All-day wine tasting event and festivities. Rush Elementary Fall Festival & 2nd Annual Car Show - Car Show registration begins at 10 a.m. Car Show entry fee is $20. Classics, sports cars, bikes, muscle cars, hot rods and more. All years and models welcome! Awards, raffle items, live auction, food booths, activity booths, paintball, giant spider web for the kids to crawl in, Hummer rides, train rides, craft booths, general store, pumpkin carving contest and so much more! Event hours are 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Lubbock Chorale - Fall concert presentation of "Mendelssohn's Elijah" featuring guest soloist Gerald Dolter, baritone. Texas Tech University School of Music, Hemmle Recital Hall. SUNDAY
38th Annual St. Joseph School Sausage Festival - German sausage and grilled/smoked chicken, German potato salad, green beans, sauerkraut, break, pickle and cake. Take-out plates will be available at the door on the south side of the building. During the luncheon a silent auction will be held, homemade items will be offered for sale, quilt display, funfest at the school, horse and buggy rides, raffle for a quilt set and cedar chest. At 2:00, a live auction will start at the school cafeteria. 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., 21st and Division Streets, Slaton.
