Are you a NASCAR Fan?
This Sunday - July 29 - The Local Chapter of the Official NASCAR Members Club is sponsoring a Race Viewing Party for all fans to share in the excitement of NASCAR! 12:00 noon until the race ends at 50th Street Caboose, 50th Street and Slide Road. We’ll have games, prizes and a chance for you to see what the ONMC is all about! Be sure and wear your favorite driver apparel so we'll know you are a NASCAR fan! July 27, 28, 29 - 4th N.A.S. BBQ, Chili Cook-off, & Music Festival Come eat BBQ & enjoy talented local West Texas musicians & artists. Bring lawn chairs & enjoy music under the stars! Proceeds will benefit The West Texas Musicians Association Vendor Booths, Horseshoe Pitching, Kid Games, Guitar Raffle. This event will be at t the End of the Trail RV Park (S. 6th & W. Access Rd. Hwy 87) Tahoka, Texas 79373 806-998-5104 or 806-548-6061 All day July 27 and 28 ... and chapel service on Sunday at 10:30.

Saturday is a FUN EVENING to see "DEAR EDWINA!"
“Dear Edwina” is a fun musical about Edwina, an advice giver extraordinare, who puts on a show in her garage with her friends for a talent scout. You'll be amazed at the talent of these 100 kids performing from the Summer Stars Theatre camp participants from Hub Performing Arts School. Hemle Recital Hall, Texas Tech University 2:00pm 2nd-4th graders perform. 8:00 pm 5th-8th graders perform. Tickets are $5 adults, $2 kids. Call 577-7441 to get your tickets.

As you read last week, the Parker Family is moving to Stephenville for a variety of reasons.
The most amazing thing about this transition is watching all the DETAILS FALL INTO PLACE! My biggest worry was about the Fun Club and how to best care for it. Then, a miracle happened.

Steph and Shane stepped forward with the heart and interest in keeping the Fun Club going and growing! So now I can go on and grow the TexasFunClub ... and other Fun Clubs while Lubbock remains the model of what other Fun Clubs can be!

Steph is a West Texas gal and the kind of person everyone wishes they had as a friend! Happy, upbeat, quick to accept responsibility and pitch in, and sweet spirited! She is also an explorer and loves pickleball. (Yes, pickleball.) read more>>>>
Shane is a "go-getter" and his outgoing personality is matched by the depth of his knowledge of Lubbock, the area, AND graphics and marketing. He takes pride in being an "unofficial ambassador" for Lubbock and is proud of his city. read more>>>
I could not be happier about this new leadership. These are the "right people for the right time" and they already care so much for the Fun Club that I believe it will make for a very smooth transition. Here's to a glorious future for them and for all of us!
