If you haven't been to the First Friday Art Trail, this is your chance!
If you have, check out this month's venues and featured artists!
Every FIRST FRIDAY, Lubbock's art community opens it's galleries and art venues and stays open from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. (at least) so we can all get out and enjoy looking at the beautiful art everywhere! It's free. From quilts to paintings to art on dominoes, don't miss this Friday's Art Trail! It's open to the public. You can pick any one place to start. See one, two or pick and choose.

May 31 - June 2 - "Tales of the Kingdom" The Musical at 7:00 p.m. at the Lubbock High Auditorium produced by a home school drama group. All of the music, choreography and script is original and is based on the books "A Tale of the Kingdom". This play is a medieval themed allegory with sword fighting, singing and dancing, and a beautiful set. Free admission for public.

GET READY LUBBOCK ... the speed, the power, the boats are coming!
Buffalo Springs Lake is hosting the Drag Boat Races Fathers Day weekend June 15 through 17.
If you like NASCAR, if you like speed, if you like action, if you like the sound of thunder, if you like being around the water ... you will love this drag boat race!
(I think of it as NASCAR on water.) If you don't like all that ... but your boys do or your husband does, make sure they know about the races coming up. And it is Father's Day weekend. Stacy Comer makes these pendants from dominoes! They are cute and clever and we want you to come to see them. Stacy will be at Faux Real Art Gallery on Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm to show them, sell some, and take personalized orders. The keychains would make a wonderful Father's Day gift. Evan Onstot took it upon himself to check out the Lubbock Craft Mafia. A name that conjures up secret society, he came to meet and interview a few of Craft Mafia founders himself. If you know anyone who makes quality hand made crafts, be sure and tell them about our Craft Mafia! We're adding members right now.
