Austin recognizes Lubbock crafters at the LAUNCH of the LUBBOCK CRAFT MAFIA! Tell ANY ARTIST or CRAFTER you know!
The first Craft Mafia was founded in 2003 by nine crafty business women in Austin, TX (many of whom are now seen on DIY network TV.) The group originally came together through a shared love for craft, DIY ethics and mutual respect. As the Craft Mafia developed it became a forum for networking, promotion and shared ideas. There are now Craft Mafias all across the globe and, city by city, they select one "crafter group" that can apply and be approved to link to their national society. Lubbock Craft Mafia has recently formed and been accepted as their official link to our city.
