ARTS FESTIVAL IS THIS WEEKEND
April 19 - 22 is a full weekend of fun!
Get ready to have some fun including amazing art exhibits, demonstrations, activities for children, music on a variety of stages, and some unusual things like
a 15 ton sand sculpture and sand play box, free performance by Harmes Marionettes out of Austin,
Texas Beef Council’s “Ultimate Backyard”, 30 kites on display, yummy food, and happy environment for all ages to celebrate the arts.

April 23 - MTV Correspondent Speaks at Texas Tech at 8:00 p.m. A major on-air presence from MTV, Gideon Yago will speak at the Student Union Allen Theater. He was a cub reporter for McCain and Bush campaigns, the first MTV news correspondent to Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq, and is also recognized for his award winning coverage on 9/11. Tickets are free for students or $10 from Select a Seat. Teen People Magazine named him one of the “25 Hottest Stars under 25”
