Lubbock, get ready! THIS SUNDAY is the
OPENING HOME GAME ... April 15!

Volunteers are needed
1.) We need 15 volunteers this Sunday to help at the Football game. Must be friendly and responsible and can also be a group who enjoys working together (i.e. boyscouts, family, civic club, little league group, homeschool moms). Everyone who helps us gets a free entry to the game! Click here and let us know if you're interested asap!

2.) Next weekend, we need helpers at the Arts Festival. Care to volunteer and meet other nice people? If so, click here and let us know!

Hollywood comes to Lubbock
this Friday evening April 13

The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra’s 60th Anniversary Season continues with a pops concert, “America at the Movies,” Friday, April 13, 2007 at 8 pm at the McDonald Moody Auditorium on the Lubbock Christian University campus. Morihiko Nakahara will conduct the orchestra.

INTERESTED in the TEXAS FILM INDUSTRY?
Reception this Saturday affords chance to meet and greet.
Texas Film Industry
including The Video Association of Dallas (VAD), Texas Association of Film and Tape Professionals (TAFTP), Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA) and Texas Filmmakers (TF) are hosting a reception at The Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts this Saturday at 7 p.m., 511 Avenue K. This is an opportunity to meet different film professionals around the state and in Lubbock and to learn more about the Texas Film Industry Community. Come visit and have a good time meeting people and watching some interesting films.

ARTS FESTIVAL IS COMING
NEXT WEEKEND and it's a full weekend of fun! April 19 - 22

Get ready to have some fun including amazing art exhibits, demonstrations, activities for children, music on a variety of stages, and some unusual things like
a 15 ton sand sculpture and sand play box, free performance by Harmes Marionettes out of Austin,
Texas Beef Council’s “Ultimate Backyard”, 30 kites on display, yummy food, and happy environment for all ages to celebrate the arts.

Pickleball is back and April 19 is a

to play this fun recreational sport - great for men and women!

We will be playing pickleball April 19 at Leroy Elmore Park at 7:00. Some really good players are in from out of town to give us this introductory class. Pickleball is a fun, game that is a cross between tennis, badminton, raquetball, and ping-pong all rolled into one. Anyone can learn to play and you might just get hooked while meeting some new friends.
