The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra’s 60th Anniversary Season continues with “America’s Choice” Friday and Saturday, March 30 & 31, 2007 at 8 pm in the Civic Center Theatre. “America’s Choice” features Dvorak’s 9th Symphony also know as the New World Symphony, the most requested piece in a survey taken from Lubbock Symphony patrons last year. David In-Jae Cho will conduct the orchestra; Lubbock’s own David Brandon will appear as guest artist. We found an Easter Egg Hunt!
Hodges Community Center (4011 University) is hosting its 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31 from 2-4pm. The cost is $1 per child and all ages can participate! Get your lil' hunters together and come hunt Easter eggs with us! Over 400 Easter eggs will be hidden throughout Hodges Center, the Rose Garden and surrounding area. Egg prizes include jellybeans, chocolate candy, and small toys. Each participant is registered to possibly win an Easter Egg Goodie Basket! Parents can help children 6 and under hunt. Each participant is encouraged to bring their own basket. Hodges Center prefers pre-registration so we can make sure to have enough eggs for everyone. The Go For It! seminar is sponsored by the Special Services Office and the First Step Program at South Plains College Reese Center in Lubbock and targets single parents, displaced homemakers and others with barriers to attending college. The agenda includes presentations by local agencies, information on financial aid and childcare funding, and a chance to learn what it takes to be a successful college student.

April 14 - 1 Day Mini Theater Camp for students currently enrolled kinder-8th grade. Theatre basics, masks, and a short performance will conclude the day. $25/student, lunch is included. 9-3. Plainview High School
