Fiddler is THIS WEEKEND!
Fiddler on the Roof is a family "must-see" full scale musical presented by the Music Department of First United Methodist Church. Performances are at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater, Friday, February 23, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2:00 p.m. , Saturday, February 24, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, $15, $10 on sale at the FUMC Music Office at the church at 1411 Broadway (13th and Avenue N) Their phone # is 763 0781 or you can buy them from First United Methodist Chancel Choir or cast members.

The DIRT is coming!
Next Friday, we will begin sales for a line of tshirts and accessories that promise to be entertaining and well as proud of what we all take for granted ... our wonderful West Texas dirt. On my trip to Maui this summer, I saw a dirt shirt and a lava shirt and I thought ... if ANYONE has claim to DIRT it surely is WEST TEXAS! So ... we are happy to announce the premiere of the West Texas Dirt Shirt!

Isn't it uplifting when someone expresses kindness toward you in a way that you didn't do anything specific to receive? We're going to tell some examples and hope it encourages us to remember and encourages others to do the same. Here's my story: I was having coffee with a client in a coffee place. Someone comes in I met in a business meeting a while back. They went and stood in line to get their "to go" coffee. On the way out, they stopped and dropped off a GIFT CARD ... saying "the next cup of coffee's on me". Then they walked out, having given me a nice surprise. Pass it on. Pay it forward.
