"America Celebrates" -- a glorious celebration of holiday favorites, sensational music, and bright faces of children -- makes this memorable family event an annual tradition at the gorgeous First Baptist Church. Be a part of the holiday cheer as you sing along to Joy to the World, Deck the Halls, The First Noel and others. There are two performances: 3 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $22 for adults, $16 for students, and $10 for kids under 10. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! Click here to order your tickets online or call 762-1688. 3 Cool Things I found at Holiday Happenings!

1.) The AMAZING SNOW- It starts out feeling like a teaspoon of laundry detergent in your hand. Then you add a little water and WATCH as the snow grows and spills out of the palm of your hand! It is amazing! Once dehydrated again, you can collect it and reuse it again year after year. It is nontoxic and great for holiday decorating or just plain fun for kids of all ages.
Box is $20 and makes a gallon. The Lubbock Fun Club will be receiving two orders between now and Christmas for those of us who wanted it.
If you want some, click here and let us know.
2.) Clics - the new glasses that CLICK in the middle with magnets - like the medical examiner on CSI wears - were the HIT and fun to find. They come in 12 colors and all sorts of strengths. Click here for more>

3.) Comfort Shoes sold out at J Hoffman's booth this year and everybody was wanting some. These clogs are really plastic but look like aligator and the velvet bow makes them look dressy enough for any outfit. The best part, they make your feet feel fantastic. They are getting more in this week but tell them you saw them in the Fun Club newsletter and they can save a pair for you. They're only $25 or so and well worth it!
Call J Hoffman at 797-8794 and ask them to hold a pair.

This is an opportunity for your children to MAKE you a Christmas present. After they make it, we will wrap it and have it ready for pick up and on Christmas morning, it will be a real surprise for you. This will be held at FAUX REAL ART & DESIGN studio and by first come first serve reservations. Open for children ages 4 to 12 depending on their level of 'independence'. Parents will not be able to assist their children or stay with them so the child will have to interact well with adults who will be helping them make their project. CLICK HERE for more information>

December 9 - Miracles Parade on 34th Street is coming! Thousands of people will be lining 34th Street on December 9 as the lighted floats, cheering kids, and sights and sounds of Christmas pass by! This parade that began last year was fantastic and a real, honest-to-goodness, holiday parade with real floats, real marching bands, and Santa Claus (coming straight from a visit to a BIG DEPARTMENT store in Dallas.) It's a thrill. Don't miss it. Put it on your calendar now and round up your boy and girl scouts, sports teams, Sunday School classes, friends and family and get a good "close up" glimpse at this holiday cheer! We encourage everyone to bring a TOY FOR TOTS gift so we can FILL THE TRAILER full of donations this year and make the event even more meaningful for your family!
