alto saxophone; Brad Carlson, vocals. Texas Tech University -

Estate Auction this Saturday, June 24, in
Abernathy
Estate of Dr.
and Mrs. Kennith Gregory real estate and personal property will
be this Saturday in Abernathy at 407 North Drive.
Sale includes antiques and collectibles, furniture and accessories,
electronics and appliances, a wild game collection, kitchenware,
and lots of other stuff. Preview at 9:00 a.m., sale at 11:00.

Make
a Wish Car Show this
This Saturday, June 24
Corvettes, Mustangs, Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Custom Cars, and
Motorcycles at the 16th Annual Make-A-Wish Car Show is presented
by Lubbock area car clubs at the Casada Professional Office Park
on the corner of 82nd Street and Iola from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
to see some great cars and motorcycles. Admission is only $5.00,
kids under 12 free. All proceeds from the show will benefit children
who are suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. If
you want to enter your car or bike in the show be there at 9:30
AM for registration. Show entry is only $25.00. Call 784-0606

26 - 30 - MVP Challenge Sports and Arts Camp at the Boys &
Girls Club.
Free Sports and Arts Camp 8am – noon for children having
completed K – 6th grade. Includes excellent instruction
by area players and coaches in one of nine sports or arts and
a high energy program to engage kids with Biblical truths. Open
to the first 300 registrants. Sponsored by the Boys and Girls
Clubs of Lubbock, North Pointe Church and Live Oak Community Church.

A
few spots left for Saturday's Polymer Clay Class
We had fun learning about polymer clay at FauxReal Art Studio.
We learned about the clay and made two projects. It was easy.

The
Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center
will offer youth the opportunity to participate in the National
Junior Tennis League sponsored by USA Tennis (formerly USTA). The league provides children
with the opportunity to learn how to play tennis and to learn
about good sportsmanship. The cost of the league is $10 per youth
in two divisions: 10 and Under and 14 and Under. League times
are 6:30-7:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 27 through
July 13 (six classes). The league ends with a NJTL Regional Rally
Tournament on Saturday, July 22. Call 767-2712 to register or
come by the center at 3030 66th Street.
