ART & WINE LOVERS - Good News!
The 9th annnual "Wine and Clay" Art Festival is this weekend at Llano Estacado Winery. Celebrating two fine arts of the earth, winemaking and ceramics, Llano Estacado Winery and the Llano Estacado Clay Guild present this event where Clay Guild artists are featured in a gallery display, and booths will showcase ceramics, paintings and jewelry, with art demonstrations going on throughout the day. Plus, purchase wine by the glass from Llano and specialty pizza by the slice from Orlando's. Admission is free.

June 10 - Lubbock Arboretum Spring Garden Tour
The Lubbock Memorial Arboretum hosts its annual fund-raising Garden Tour. Five Lubbock gardens and the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum are on the tour this Saturday from 9 AM – 3 PM. June 10 and 11 - 2nd Annual Open Field Days at a Lavender Ranch!
The historic Joyce Lavender Ranch - 100 miles from here on the way to Abilene -- opens for special "Pick Your Own Lavender" events in June. This free event offers two free classes each day; Historic Walking Tour and Aromatherapy for Health and Happiness. These classes teach about the uses of Lavender and how to grow it. FauxReal is a new studio that offers classes in all kinds of things from mosaics, to jewelry making, to home decor objects, and so on! Our first class is ready: Polymer Clay 101—An introductory class where you will learn the basics of polymer clay—materials and tools, techniques, projects, websites, etc. All materials and tools will be provided, and you will leave the class with a competed project. You don’t have to be a sculptor nor an artist to have fun. Just a willing spirit! Cost for the class: $15. Class size is limited. Class times are: Tuesday, June 20 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 24 - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If we need to add more classes we will. Now through June 14 - Go by South Plains Mall and show your patriotism to pledge to fly the American flag on Flag Day. Simply sign a pledge card and receive a free stick flag at Guest Services. Over 500 malls across the country will be celebrating Flag Day on Wednesday, June 14 as part of An Old Gloryous Celebration®. South Plains Mall In partnership with Westgate Mall in Amarillo and the Mall of Abilene in Abilene, is encouraging West Texans to honor our country by proudly flying their American flag on Flag Day!

StrollerFit is hosting a "Daddy's Day" class on Saturday, June 10th, 9:00am at Charles Guy Park (87th and Nashville...park by the Nautilus). This is a great way to honor dad and let him have a chance to "workout with his
baby"...or spend time with his family in a healthy way. The guys are great
(competitive) and have a fun time during the class! We also have a few give
aways for those in attendance.

The Plainview High School Theatre Boosters are proud to announce the 3rd Annual Theatre Summer Camp, June 19-23 at the Plainview High School Auditorium, for children who have completed kindergarten to those who are going in the 9th grade. This year’s camp will feature a production of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, with both singing and non-singing parts available. The camp is $40, which includes a t-shirt, script/scrapbook, and 2 tickets to the performance. Campers bring a sack lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks are provided.
