HIT THE TRAIL ... the ART TRAIL, that is ... Friday, June 2
The First Friday Art Trail is a coordinated effort to showcase art and encourage the community to come out and have some fun visiting all the places. If you haven't found it yet, it's fun! This month there are 17 locations citywide. We'd like to point out two stops along this month's trail:
Hard Tops Gallery located at 2228 Buddy Holly (south of 19th)
Hard Tops reglazes porcelain for sinks and tubs and is a very hip showroom. Everyone should see it! This month on the art trail they feature two photographers, Leslie Simon and Eric Rains. Open 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Faux Real - Art Gallery and Design Studio is a new studio on the West side of Lubbock at 7212 19th Street (1 mile west of the loop). The fresh, funky faces of Edible Metal are on display and you will enjoy that lively artwork! Regional artist, Charise Knudson, fashions these faces from metal parts and stain glass and each face has it's own personality! This exhibit coincides with FauxReal's Grand Opening and you can stop by and see the art and listen to beautiful live music from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
