November 24, 25, 26, 27 (Resumes December 2-4; 9-11; 16-24)...Santa's Land Drive Thru Park - The park includes four acres of land, thousands of lights, 100 plus wooden cut outs, blow-ups, tons of Christmas trees, and decorated antique cars. Visitors are able to stay inside their cars or get out and mingle while enjoying a warm fire, hot chocolate, cookie and a visit with Santa. Train will be at Santa's Land Drive thru Park on November 24. 25 & 26 from 6:30-8:30. (Opening Weekend) Lights will be on the 25th in honor of Frances Chancy's & Jesus's birthday. Admission is free, donations will be accepted to help keep the lights on. We would love to invite you to stop by and see the lights and Santa (please bring your camera). If Santa is present he departs at 9 p.m. Santa's Land Drive-Thru Christmas Park is located in Tahoka, Tx (30 miles south of Lubbock). Park is located at South 11th and Ave O (use Google map) just off of Hwy 87. We open at 6:30 p.m. Lights out no earlier than 10 p.m.

November 25….GIANT Screen Football: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs Baylor Bears - Join us for a FREE SCREENING of the Tech vs. Texas Big XII football game as we again offer fans the chance to see the game on our new, GIANT screen in the Cactus Theater. The concession stand and Cactus cantina will be available for your enjoyment. For this game, there is no ticket or voucher required - we simply invite fans to see the game on the big screen with us. Seating will be general admission for this event....so sit wherever you'd like on the floor (balcony will only be opened if needed). We're excited to have this brand new screen in place and the highest-quality, digital, laser projection in town! Cactus Theater, 1812 Buddy Holly Ave; Doors open at 4:30 p.m.; Tech game screened at 5 p.m.

November 25, 26, 27….Phantom of the Opera - Texas Tech University’s Opera Theatre, in cooperation with Moonlight Broadway, will present one of the greatest musicals of the past 50 years, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” this fall. The production will star Broadway veteran, Texas Tech alumnus and Lubbock native David Gaschen as the Phantom. He will be surrounded by the vocal and stage talents of Texas Tech Opera Theatre students, many of whom have national singing credits. “The Phantom of the Opera” will feature some of Lubbock’s artistic leaders: Gerald Dolter, director of Texas Tech Opera Theatre and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, will stage the show; Maestro David Cho of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra will conduct; and Yvonne Racz-Key, artistic director of Ballet Lubbock, will choreograph. Set and lighting design will be handled by Timothy Walsh of Texas Tech Opera Theatre. Costumes will be designed and executed by Curtains Up Costumes of Sigourney, Iowa. Sound design will be managed by Moonlight Broadway veteran Brooks Willig of Western Audio. The Texas Tech Symphony Orchestra will play from the pit. Tickets for “The Phantom of the Opera” may be purchased in person at the Texas Tech Student Union Building Ticket Office, at the main Select-A-Seat office in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, by calling (806) 770-2000, or online at http://www.ticketsage.com/_lubbock/. November 26….Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Trans-Siberian Orchestra celebrates 20 years with a performance of their rock opera “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve.” Each concert ticket purchased online will include a digital audio copy of an album by the same name.
