August 26….Soft Side of the '70s: Unforgettable Pop-Rock Classics - As the second generation of rock 'n' roll performers was coming of age and the 1970s began to unfold, a new sound began to emerge from stereo speakers worldwide: the unforgettable, mellow sound of what came to be called Soft Rock. Songsmiths ranging from Elton John to Carole King to James Taylor crafted moods in song that touched millions of listeners in a way that popular music had not done previously. Introspective writers like Don McLean and John Lennon had something to say in a way that connected the heart and soul while crafting masterpieces in song. Join the Stars of the Cactus for an evening of pure musical mastery as we revisit some of the greatest soft-rock hits ever recorded. This is a memory-filled evening not to be missed! Reserved floor seats $20; standard balcony seating only $15 for this ALL NEW Cactus Theater production. Contact the box office at 806-762-3233 or visit to purchase tickets. Or that before him no one ever had that level of interaction with a live audience? Or that he was the #1 comedian (in ticket sales and ratings) for almost 15 years? Gallagher has led an extraordinary life, with an even more spectacular career. His fan base is one of the most loyal there is, and he rewards them every chance he gets. Now on the Jokes on you tour! However, he finds himself involved in all sorts of frantic adventures, assisted by such friends as the dismal Eeyore, Piglet and Rabbit, with his countless relations. Pooh's intentions are always the best, but his passion for honey and condensed milk keeps getting him into trouble. When friend Piglet gets roped into Kanga's household and Kanga starts bathing him (with soap!) and forcing down spoonfuls of Strengthening Medicine, Pooh wants to fly to the rescue, but he's had so many snacks he gets stuck in the door. Directed by Pat Price. To purchase tickets: C.A.T.S. Playhouse, 2257 34th Street; 7:30 p.m.
