Sung in Italian, the story is a mystery that surrounds the title character and ends with a supernatural vision. The mystery continues with Gian-Carlo Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief.” This opera, which is sung in English, will keep the audience guessing who the thief is as the story unfolds in a sleepy, southern town. This is the first time TTU Music Theatre will perform in the Wells Fargo Amphitheater in partnership with Lubbock Moonlight Musicals. Tickets available through Select-a-Seat outlets or online at selectaseat.com. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and a picnic supper to enjoy with the show. Wells Fargo Ampitheatre, 413 E. September 26 - 28 (Repeats October 3 - 5)….The Odd Couple (The Female Version) -
Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same. "Very funny indeed. Amazing how very little of the spine of the original show has changed with only a few line changes.” - New York Post. Written by Neil Simon and directed By John A. Packard. Rated PG-13.
