June 19….Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase: Dix Hat Band (Americana) - The Buddy Holly Center is gearing up for another summer of music and fun with the annual Summer Showcase Concert Series running now through August 28th. Showcase is free to the public. There is a cash bar and beverages available for purchase. No outside beverages are allowed. Performances are every Thursday from 5:30 pm – 7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard. Buddy Holly Center, 19th & Crickets Ave.

June 19….Jimmy Buffett: Live at the Drive-In (Live Stream) -
The Live at the Drive-In Music Series is thrilled to present: Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band. Jimmy loves drive-ins, sings about drive-ins, and has always wanted to play at a drive-in. For the first time ever, a live music concert will be simulcast to drive-ins across the country. Buy tickets online at www.tickets.driveinUSA.com and at the box office. June 21….Summer Stampede 2014 - The Ranching Heritage Association invites everyone to enjoy an evening of art, music, food, and dancing at Summer Stampede 2014. Come to the National Ranching Heritage and support NRHC’s efforts to tell the ranching story. Twenty noted artists and artisans will be featured with exquisite works (paintings, sculptures, spurs, bits, leatherwork) on sale at the event. A buffet dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. and there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy some awesome art, eat, drink and mingle before the Summer Stampede Dance. Jake Hooker and the Outsiders take the stage at 8:30 providing the musical backdrop for a night of fun and fellowship for a good cause – supporting NRHC and its programs. June 21….The Covenant Foundation Presents: Storytellers - Produced each year as a fundraiser gala featuring a meal beforehand, this intimate concert shines the spotlight on the songwriters behind some of the most recognizable and respected songs in the music business. Featured this year are tunesmiths Cory Batten, Karyn Rochelle and Kent Blazy. Purchase tickets through the Covenant Foundation. Event held at the Cactus Theater, 1812 Buddy Holly Ave; 7:00 p.m.

June 21….American Chuckle: Stand Up Comedy - Because everyone chuckles to survive, Stress Level Orange Productions is proud to present American Chuckle, An Evening of Stand-up Comedy. The show features 90 minutes of original stand-up comedy performances by five of Texas' funniest comedians, including: Brandon Davidson, Deborah Privett, Thomas Nichols, Sheridi Lester, and Lubbock's own Bobby Friske. June 22….Sunday Concert in the Park - Come and enjoy an old fashioned Concert In the Park, performed by the Westwinds Brass Band. Traditional brass band music, marches, overtures, outstanding soloists, and our traditional favorite...the kid's march. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an hour of fun music-- maybe even a picnic supper! Concerts are sponsored by the Tech Terrace Neighborhood Association. Admission is FREE and everyone welcome. Wagner Park, 26th St. and Flint Ave; 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
