This 2-time Tony® and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters...played by a ridiculously talented cast of 4: a dashing hero, a diabolical villain, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance! January 17….Kids' Friday Fiesta
– This is a seasonally-inspired kid's party / parents night out. Kid's enjoy pizza, drinks, and a sweet treat. They'll have fun making seasonally inspired arts & crafts and engage in theme related activities. "Friday Fiesta" is offered during the following months: October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May - usually on the 3rd Friday of the month with special exceptions. This Month's Party Theme: "Winter Wonderland" will include activities such as marshmallow snowflake craft, Frosty the human snowman decorating challenge, indoor snowball fight, snowball relay race and Frosty the snowman scavenger hunt. January 17-18….Lubbock Symphony Orchestra: Classical 3
- The LSO’s performances titled GREATNESS will feature brilliant Bulgarian guest conductor, Pavel Baleff at the baton conducting works by Richard Wagner, Giovanni Bottesini, and Franz Schubert. The evening will open with Wagner’s sentimental Siegfried Idyll. Mark Morton, tenured LSO Principal Bass, will then perform Concerto for Double Bass No. 2 in C minor with the orchestra. This virtuosic showpiece will feature the double bass like you’ve never heard it before! The evening will conclude with Schubert’s Symphony No. 9, D. 944, in C Major, otherwise known as “The Great.” The selection written in the grand symphonic style is reflective of its timeless majesty. Playhouse: “Doubt” - In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award. A Parable by John Patrick Shanley, directed by Zachery Kocurek. Content note: Adult situations; parents strongly cautioned. January 18…Saturday@The Museum: Carol Flueckiger's Walk &Talk in the Call of the Wild Exhibition and Color Workshop
– The public is invited to this free come-&-go event. Enjoy fun, hands-on activities, and challenges! Activities are free of charge and are for children ages 8 and up and family members. In conjunction with the exhibition Call of the Wild: The Crayola Art of Herb Williams. Museum of Texas Tech, 3301 4th Street (SE corner 4th St. & Indiana Avenue); 1 – 4 p.m.

January 18….Cactus Theater: "ELVIS - Memphis To Vegas" - Collin Evans and Mike Garrett present Elvis from his Rock-a-Billy years all the way through to his "Big-Time" Vegas productions! Collin Evans, the star of the Cactus " sell out " production of the Broadway musical "All Shook Up," will take you back to Elvis's younger years as if you were actually there watching Elvis with his Memphis band! Mike Garrett, complete with the iconic Elvis costumes and dynamic band, will perform many Elvis's hits from his later years. Mike portrays "The King" with a lot of fun thrown in for good measure!
