May 30 (Series resumes each Thursday through August 29)….Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase Concert Series - The Buddy Holly Center is gearing up for another summer of music and fun with the annual Summer Showcase Concert Series. Performances are every Thursday evening in the Meadows Courtyard. The Summer Showcase experience is an entertaining and modern environment where patrons can enjoy original and unique Texas made music. This week's featured act is Element (R&B / Funk). Free to the public. There will be a cash bar and beverages available for purchase. Please, no outside beverages are allowed. Buddy Holly Center, 19th & Crickets Ave. 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

May 31 – June 1….8th Annual Hub City Bikefest - The Hub City Bikefest BBQ Cook Off will take place on Friday and gates open at noon to the public. Price is $5.00 per person. Family friendly on Friday only. The Hub City Bikefest Motorcycle Rally will take place on Saturday and gates open at noon to the public. Adults only - No kids. Price is $5.00 per person. June 1….Buffalo Springs Lake Open Water Swim - No walls or flip turns. No lane lines to keep you swimming straight. Practice your race skills or overcome your fears at BLOWS - Buffalo Spings Lake Open Water Swim. Supported by certified lifeguards, kayaks and scuba divers, we will provide a safe environment for your open water swim. Both short and long course distances will be available. June 1…. National Trails Day Night Hike -
Join guides at dusk to explore the Landmark after dark! Gather at the Robert A. Nash Interpretive Center to begin the adventure. (Repeats on Sundays through July 14)…Westwinds Brass Band Concert in the Park – Come and enjoy an old fashioned Concert In the Park, performed by the Westwinds Brass Band. Traditional brass band music, marches, overtures, outstanding soloists, and our traditional favorite...the kid's march. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an hour of fun music-- maybe even a picnic supper! Concerts are sponsored by the Tech Terrace Neighborhood Association. Admission is FREE and everyone welcome. Wagner Park, 26th St. and Flint Ave; 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Hub Performing Arts School

June 3 – June 21: (Ages Kindergarten - 10th grade) Shining Stars Camp
starts Monday, June 3rd and it's not too late to get your STAR registered! Hub Performing Arts School will kick off their sixth summer of incredible camps for talented kids with this three week day camp for all ability levels. Campers take classes in acting , singing and dance in the mornings and work on the show HONK JR. in the afternoon. Honk is a great musical about the Ugly Duckling and has tons of great parts! Camp is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and there are early drop off and late pick up options. June 24 – July 3: ( 3rd – 12th Grade) Triple Threat Camp - This camp is for students entering 3rd through 12th grade who want to improve their technique. Campers will receive specialized training in singing, acting and dancing. They will have the opportunity to leave camp with a short song and monologue suitable for auditions. M-F 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

July 8 – July 26: (3rd – 12th Grade) Broadway Bound Camp - This three week day camp is for those campers entering the 3rd through 12th grades in the fall who want to take their musical theatre skills to the next level. Campers will receive individual instruction in dance and voice as well as group instruction in acting, singing and dancing. Campers will perform a full scale musical at the end of camp.

Camp registration is limited to 50. Campers must audition. Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summer Youth Classes - June 4 through July 19

All classes are taught Tuesdays through Fridays.
For ages 5-10.
All classes are from 1-3 p.m.
Programs will introduce children to the cultural and natural heritage of the Southern High Plains, exploring a different theme each week through science, social studies, and environmental education based activities. Pre-Registration is required for all summer classes. All programs are FREE of charge, but space is limited! Please understand that classes are not designed for "Drop-In" participation. The weekly theme content is developed so that a child can learn about a topic through activities that build from one day to the next.
