May 25-26….Christ in the Arts (CITA): “EPIC ~ The Timeless Tale of Extravagant Love” - Join Christ in the Arts for a riveting glimpse into the very heart of God where we see Him pursuing His heart's desire through the ages - from Creation to the New Jerusalem. With music of long-time Christian singer/songwriter, Michael Card, scenes from both the visible and invisible realms are illustrated through a unique blend of music, lighting, and dramatic dance. The cast, composed of more than 80 dancers and actors from the Lubbock area, has melded their skills for a powerful portrayal of the greatest love story of the ages. CITA is thrilled to announce that two of the guest artists, Jonathan Chapman of Ballet Magnificat! – Jackson, MS and Ben Caldwell of Arrows International – Oklahoma City, will return to reprise their much-celebrated roles and will be joined this year by Andrew Schappacher of Academie de Ballet – Chesapeake, VA. CITA Executive Director Randall Hinds says, “ The power of this production, aside from the truly epic story on which it is based, is in the compelling and versatile choreography that utilizes and transcends classical ballet, the beautiful, narrative music, along with impressive lighting and effects. The net result of an ageless story conveyed with such dynamic sights and sounds is one of profound meaning and beauty, and one that is sure to touch the heart in a very deep way.” Advance discount tickets of $10 are now available until May 24 - visit www.ChristInTheArts.org for ticket info or call 806-632-0781. Tickets @ the door will be $15. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. First Baptist Church, 2201 Broadway, 7 p.m
