Proudly Introducing These New, Rotating "Featurettes" in 2012:

Local Small Business Spotlight
- As the title illustrates, we'll profile a local, independent company that does business in our community....and adds VALUE and FUN to our daily lives. We believe that supporting our hometown and surrounding area businesses is not only the right thing to do...but a VITAL NECESSITY in strengthening and nurturing our local economy and general way of life. We hope you will find these features interesting and exciting...and an enhanced part of the free weekly "Fun Report" that you receive.

Scene This? - We'll have some fun showcasing some offbeat and unusual pictures taken in and around the Lubbock area. You may or may not recognize these images....that's the fun of it! Hopefully, we'll take you to some places you've never been....bring an unusual sight to life....and generally stretch your imagination. WHERE was picture this taken? What IS this thing? WHY is it here? You get the idea....and we hope you'll enjoy this new and intriguing feature. We invite our readers to submit your own photos or ideas for this feature, as well. If you would like to participate as a contributor, you're certainly invited!

History...or Mystery? - It's easy to take for granted the seemingly everyday people, places and things that surround us. Many times, there are UNTOLD or ALMOST FORGOTTEN stories attached to them that we feel are worth the time to discover....and share with our readers. Whether it's the origins of a local building...a short profile of a historical figure....an introduction to a modern visionary or reflection on an early pioneer...we'll have fun illustrating some of the HISTORIES and MYSTERIES found all around our region.

Featured LFC Member Question/Comment - We'd like to explore the idea of creating a more INTERACTIVE Lubbock Fun Club membership for 2012. As our members know, the main function of the LFC is to accumulate and dissect relevant information about local and regional "happenings" and scheduled events....and then distill it into an easy, informative guide for individuals and families to use in their quest for general entertainment. We always enjoy receiving POSITIVE FEEDBACK and CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTARY for making our efforts even more beneficial. We offer the Lubbock Fun Club weekly "Fun Report" and website as a FREE SERVICE to our members and the community and regard it as a true labor of love. If you have a question or comment that you'd like to submit for the editors or general membership to read or comment on, we encourage email to this email address: info@lubbockfunclub.com
