December 15...Enchanted Holiday Story Time with Belle - Boys and girls are invited to meet Belle (bring your camera) as she re-tells her first Christmas inside the Enchanted Castle. There will be holiday snacks, free raffles, games, prizes and lots of holiday crafts. Make princess ornaments and Mickey Mouse wreaths, decorate gingerbread boys and girls and Belle bookmarks. - Singers, players, dancers, storytellers, and more gather to perform traditional repertoire of the season in the Tenth Annual Caprock Celtic Christmas, including traditional Irish, Welsh, Breton, and English dance; Gaelic-, Welsh-, and English-language traditional songs; instrumental dance tunes and slow airs, and much more. December 16-17.…."Ring Around Rosalie” - CATS Playhouse will be presenting the world premiere of “Ring Around Rosalie”, a new comedy written & directed by Whitney Ryan Garrity. This funny, fast-paced farce takes place in 1933 - the day after Prohibition ends. The talented cast includes Ian Boone, Cornelius Brown, Megan Dobbs, Charles Grair, Lisa Hernandez, Jay Ingram, Zachery Kocurek, Kara Marshall, Seth Murry, Janet Park, Christina Plank, Sarrean White. …."A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley" - A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley was adapted from Charles Dickens’ classic by Israel Horovitz and directed by John A, Packard. Famous the world over, the often bizarre and ultimately heart-warming story of Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and the others needs no detailing here. Horovitz’s adaptation follows the original scrupulously but, in bringing it to life on the stage, adds elements of inventiveness and brilliant theatricality which enhance and strengthen its timeless virtues. The end result is a theatre piece of unique eloquence, which will delight audiences of all ages, and draw forth the best efforts of all engaged in its presentation. December 18….Jubilate Women's Choir Christmas Concert
– The Jubilate Women’s Choir is hosting a free Christmas Concert with all of the offering proceeds going to CASA of the South Plains. The Jubilate Women’s Choir was founded by the artistic music director and conductor, Dr. Hyung Sek (John) Chae in August, 2010 and is composed of female singers, based in Lubbock and the West Texas area. The choir is an auditioned group performing choral works from all genres. The choir has been conducting regularly scheduled performances in Lubbock and West Texas Area.
