Lubbock is fortunate to have two special kite groups, WhataKite and TKO, performing. Barry and Karen Olgetree are from Lufkin, Texas, and have been involved in kite flying for over thirty years. This includes flying two sport kites at the same time or flying a dual line and quad line sport kite at the same time! In between sport kite performances, Troy entertains people by flying many of his large single line kites. His team is called TKO. In addition, Lubbock Extreme Kites will be demonstrating the growing sport of Kite Boarding, and the Windriders Flying Disc Club and Lubbock Disc Golf Association will be hosting games and contests as they show people the game of disc golf.
