February 19….Arabia (Premiere) - Experience an extraordinary culture, the history and humanity, as well as the exotic mystique of: Arabia at the Science Spectrum OMNI Theater. A land steeped in mystery and myth is revealed in this extremely thought-provoking film adventure. In the film unfolds the story of an extreme desert environment that, through its people’s thirst for knowledge, the riches of global trade and a deep devotion to faith, has become one of the most powerful, yet least understood, regions on earth today. This kaleidoscopic portrait of Arabia delves into the storied past and oncoming future through a mix of contemporary images of modern-day life, epic historical recreations of ancient civilizations, and visual effects that together will have theater-goers riding the dunes with a camel caravan, diving into the treasure-laden Red Sea, exploring the ruins of a towering lost city, hurtling back into the Islamic golden age of invention, joining three million Muslims on the Hajj pilgrimage, and getting to know the young Arabians transforming tomorrow’s world. The result is a surprising and illuminating journey that not only unveils an oft-hidden world full of discovery -- but also serves as a bridge between two cultures that have long misunderstood one another. For most people, ARABIA will be a first chance to experience life in a part of the world usually glimpsed only in news clips. For additional film information, go to www.arabia-film.com. OMNI Theater general admission ticket rates: $8.00 Adults; $6.50 Children (ages 3-12); $6.50 Seniors (60+). The OMNI Theater at the Science Spectrum will be showing the 2D version of this film.
