7-9....“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”
- Follows the problems of a young couple trying to put on a Christmas
pageant and facing the Herdman children—probably the most
inventively awful kids in history. When the Herdman’s and
the Christmas story collide, the results are both hilarious and
heart-warming. Directed by Kevin Helmer. 7:00 Friday & Saturday
evenings; 2:00 Saturday & Sunday matinees. Tickets: adults
$20; seniors and students $15. Group rates available. After the
Saturday matinees, stay for the Family Christmas Party with refreshments,
games, photos, ornament making, Christmas karaoke, and many more
family fun events. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

December 8....Miracles Christmas Parade - Parade
begins at 34th St. and
Toledo Ave; travels east and ends at University Ave. When you
come to the parade, bring an unwrapped toy and hand it to the
United States Marines as they walk by. Last year, the parade collected
almost a thousand toys to benefit local children in need. Parade
begins at 6:00 p.m.
December 8....Holiday in the Cathedral - Featuring
"Magnificat" by J.S. Bach. The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra’s
annual holiday performance and the first of two bonus concerts
in its Global Journeys series. The Chancel Choir of First United
Methodist and The Lubbock Chorale will join the Lubbock Symphony
in this collaborative concert. First United Methodist Church Sanctuary,
1411 Broadway; 8 p.m.

13 - 16....30th Annual production of The Nutcracker - Ballet
Lubbock’s Artistic Director Yvonne Racz choreographs this
ballet set on nearly 200 dancers, including students of the Ballet
Lubbock School and Company.
Ballet Lubbock’s performances of The Nutcracker are accompanied
by members of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra/Tomasz Golka, Music
