Did you get your free iPod Shuffle?
Take $50, open a new account, and they will give you a FREE iPod shuffle. That's it. No strings. Why? Because they want the chance to show you the "hometown banking" difference. AimBank has a new location on 64th & Frankford and they want customers who want exceptional service with a caring, helpful, resourceful bank. I know because I bank there. It's not uncommon anymore to have more than one bank. So grab $50 bucks, open an account, get your shuffle and test them for yourself. That's a nice way to start! more>

First Friday Art Trail is THIS FRIDAY
The Lubbock art galleries and venues have open houses all over town from 6 to 9 on the First Friday of each month so that you can come out and enjoy art! There are 25 places this Friday and the art is really wonderful. It's a calm, casual way to get out and explore. FauxReal Art & Design, 7212 19th Street (click here for directions) features the large, delightful paintings of Joey MacLean, art teacher at Coronado High School. They are also showing funky furniture and home accessories by Pauline. You can start there and work your way toward downtown. Or you can start at the Buddy Holly Center and work your way to the other points of interest. Either way, get your map, and go looking. It's free, fun, and something different to enjoy!

Oh, go climb a wall!
and recognize your kids' grades at the same time.

Kids recently got their 6-weeks report cards ... and for every "A" they received, the Climbing Wall at the Maize will give them a dollar off. That means that for someone who got 5 A's ... they get to do the climbing wall for FREE. (Must have report card with you and this offer is good through October 22.)

There's a climbing wall at the Maize? Yes, on the weekends, there's a climbing wall and kids love that. Plus, it's just ONE MORE GREAT THING about being at the Maize, which is open in these beautiful fall days. Don't miss it. Go ... soon ... and take your kids. Even if they got only 1 A ... that's still a buck off ... what normally only costs $5 anyway. Plus, there's a lot more fun going on ... click here for more>
