September 14…. Interview with HIH Reza Pahlavi - His Imperial Highness Reza Pahlavi, head of state for the exiled Republic of Iran, has granted John W. McCullough an interview. The Interview will be via Skype over the internet and will be displayed onto a large projection screen for the audience to view. When Mr. Pahlavi lived in Lubbock in the late 1970s, he was the Crown Prince of Iran. His father, the Shah of Iran, died on July 27, 1980 during the very hectic and tense Iranian hostage crisis, which lasted for 444 days from November 4, 1979 until January 20, 1981, the day that Ronald Reagan was inaugurated as the 40th President of the United States. Mr. Pahlavi lived in a home just a few blocks from John’s apartment building. He will be asking Mr. Pahlavi about his time training as a pilot at Reese AFB, his memories of Lubbock and whether he attended Texas Tech. His secretariat told him that although he has given many interview to CBS, CNN, etc., he was very intrigued about the request to interview him about his time in Lubbock and at Reese AFB. Mr. McCullough will be using some of the information from his interview for an upcoming Caprock Chronicles article for Dr. Paul Carlson in the Lubbock AJ. There will be seating for about 60 people in the room. Please feel free to invite others who might like to attend. There will be time for questions from the audience after he finishes the questions.
