February 27 - March 1….Lubbock Community Theatre presents: "Almost, Maine" - John Cariani’s Almost, Maine is a series of nine amiably absurdist vignettes about love, with a touch of good-natured magic realism...This is a beautifully structured play, with nifty surprise endings (most but not all of them happy) and passing references to characters from other vignettes, which slyly tell us more about them. Mr. Cariani, describes the play’s subject as ‘falling in and out of love.’ It is just as much about pain. Produced over 2,000 times by amateur and professional companies. Written by John Cariani. Directed By Leah Tyson. Rated PG-13. Ticket Prices: Adults: $20, Students/Seniors $15. To reserve tickets visit http://lubbockcommunitytheatre.org/ or call (806) 749-2416. Lubbock Community Theatre, 4232 Boston Avenue; Friday and Saturday: 7:30 p.m. and Sunday: 2 p.m.

Last Week's Trivia Winners....

The Question: With roughly 8 billion sold each year between January 1 and February 14, the tiny candy hearts (the ones with the sweet messages printed on them) were first made in what year?

Answer: Daniel Chase, began printing sayings on the candy in 1866. He designed a machine that was able to press on the candy similar to a stamp. The candy was often used for weddings since the candies had witty saying such as: "Married in White, you have chosen right."
