July 18….Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase ConcertThe Center is an exciting and beautiful facility located in the heart of Lubbock’s historic Depot District. Home to the most extensive permanent exhibition on the life and music of Buddy Holly, the Center also features a contemporary Fine Arts Gallery, the Texas Musicians Hall of Fame Gallery and the outdoor Buddy & Maria Elena Holly Plaza. At 5:30 p.m. the Summer Showcase Concert Series will feature Ginger Leigh (Rock, Latin, Pop, Blues and Jazz). Buddy Holly Center, 1801 Crickets Avenue; 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

July 19….Movie at the Museum - The Museum of Texas Tech University will show the 1960 movie “Psycho” in the Jones Auditorium. July 19….Marty Raybon in Concert - Cindy Hughlett Music Ministry, along with KSSL Radio, are co-hosting an evening concert featuring country music recording artist Marty Raybon and Full Circle. Marty Raybon - founder and former lead singer of the group Shenandoah - sports a career spanning nearly three decades and has produced a remarkable list of accomplishments including: top selling albums, CMA, ACM, IBMA, and Grammy Awards, along with scores of other accolades and multiple number one singles, including: "Mama Knows", "Next to You – Next to Me", "Two Dozen Roses", "Sunday in the South", "Church on Cumberland Road", "Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart", "Daddy Phone" and "I’ve Seen What He Can Do". ….Lubbock Moonlight Musicals Presents “Annie Get Your Gun” – This musical hits the entertainment bulls-eye!" It's a western, a love story, a musical, and a story of the American Dream all rolled into one brilliant show. Bring your family and come along for the ride of your life! After all, "There's No Business Like Show Business." Come enjoy the story of Annie Oakley, a poor, but spirited, country girl and the love of her life, expert rifleman Frank Butler. "Annie Get Your Gun" is truly American. Any show that blends bullets, ballads, show business and music by Irving Berlin is sure to be extraordinary, and "Annie Get Your Gun" is all that! All summer performances will be outdoors in the Wells Fargo Amphitheater in beautiful Mackenzie Park. The audience is encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and personal lawn chairs or blankets. Seating is on grassy terraces. Tickets are for preferred seating (in the center) and for general admission seating on the sides. July 20….Caprock Classic Car Club 18th Annual Rock & Roll Nostalgia Car Show & CruiseCar Show is from 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. with burn out contest from 3 – 4 p.m. There will also be a Friday night cruise from 7 – 8 p.m. For more information Call 806-828-6238 or visit www.caprockclassiccarclub.org. In conjunction with the Slaton Classic Car Show which is being held this Saturday on the square in downtown Slaton, Multiplicity Art Gallery will be having a sidewalk art sale. Upcoming Kids' Camps Offer A Variety of Learning Opportunities

- Aviation Boot Camps Silent Wings Museums - Learn about what life was like during WWII, both at home and abroad. Activities will include building pup tents, eating MREs, introduction to aerodynamics, WWII uniforms, and more. PAID registration required by Friday July 12th or Friday July 19th at 5 p.m. Ages 8-12. July 24-26….Stir Up Some Fun at Kids Cooking School - Nutrition, cooking fundamentals and healthy snacks will be the focus of the “Stir Up Some Fun at Kids Cooking School.” The cost will be $15.00 to cover materials and food supplies.
