Lubbock Fun Club updates are sent on Thursday of each week with "featured events" this week and next, tips on local events and useful news and tidbits. Join the Fun Club (it's FREE!) so you can receive your weekly updates by e-postcard.

Featured Events
Do you enjoy meeting others, looking to network, or discover new places? Featured Events are events where the Lubbock Fun Club is involved and it's a great time to come see what's going on. There's a link on every page so take a look from time to time. These events are also highlighted in our Postcard ... so keep an eye out for these times to come out and be social! more>

Single?
Lubbock has a large percentage of adults who are single - and we have two groups - which originated through the Lubbock Fun Club - to help connect these folks. The original group, S.O.S. (a simple acronym for Singles Only Stuff) is a group of folks ranging in age from mid-40s on up. The newest group, called Single Friends, is geared for a younger mix ranging in age from mid-20s to mid-40s. Both groups present a chance for Lubbock singles to enjoy activities with others and make new friends. Social and over 55?
Texas Tech Lifelong Learning Center is a membership organization which provides learning opportunities for people 55 years of age and older who want to continue to expand their knowledge and interests. No tests. No grades. Just the opportunity to learn something new! Through this program, you will meet and interact with people in the community by participating in classes, discussion groups, special events, and social activities. You can become an official member of the community and enjoy various benefits, or simply enroll in any offering that sparks your interest. more>

Beyond work, hobbies and involvement in things that interest you are important. Lubbock is filled with all kinds of groups meeting together -- either for comfort, support, expressing an interest, or FUN! Look here for more.

Volunteer
You can help us with the Lubbock Fun Club. We have several tasks and projects that are on the "waiting" list for someone who might want to help. Then, of course, there are hundreds of agencies and other organizations to whom you can connect for ongoing opportunities. Visit our Volunteer pages.
